Kung Fu is not for contest; it is more than punching and kicking.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Self-defense is a component, but Kung Fu is a thinking man&#8217;s art that aims to unlock a student&#8217;s true potential by training body, mind, and spirit. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Trinity Training Center, Kung Fu is not what we do, it&#8217;s how we LIVE!&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sigung<\/strong> means founder of the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sifu <\/strong>means teacher\/instructor\/coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hung Gar<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hung Gar <\/strong>(<em>Southern Chinese style<\/em>) originated in the Southern Shaolin Temple in southern China over 300 years ago. The name means \u201c<em>Hung Family Fist<\/em>.\u201d The most famous practice set in this style of Kung Fu is called \u201c<em>Tiger and Crane<\/em>.\u201d  There are five animal styles within Hung Gar Kung Fu: tiger, leopard,  crane, snake, and dragon. Southern-style Hung Gar Kung Fu works with all  body types \u2013 big or small, tall or short, male or female.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"371\" height=\"355\" src=\"http:\/\/peoriakungfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/HungGar-Title-e1433094607743.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-739\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peoriakungfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/HungGar-Title-e1433094607743.png 371w, https:\/\/peoriakungfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/HungGar-Title-e1433094607743-300x287.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Kuntao<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A hybrid martial art with Chinese and Indonesian influences, Liu Seong<strong> Kuntao<\/strong> is sometimes known as \u201cChinese hand and Indonesian feet.\u201d Its founder, Willem A. Reeders, was of mixed Dutch and Chinese heritage. Raised in Indonesia, he trained in a number of martial disciplines. His great-uncle, Liu Seong, taught him the family\u2019s Kuntao close-range fighting system, but Reeders drew on many local Pencak Silat systems before developing his own version. Later, he took the art to the US, where it has become popular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Combining principles of anatomy, psychology \nand physics, the system\u2019s trademark is the rapid execution of multiple \nattacks at close quarters. Postures tend to protect most major vital \nareas and this protection is maintained at all times. This method is \nknown as \u201cclosed body\u201d movement.
