Hung Gar Kung Fu
Hung Gar (Southern Chinese style) Kung Fu offers classes to unlock participant’s true potential by training body, mind and spirit. This is not a sport; it is more than punching and kicking. Kung Fu is a thinking man’s art. Real training in martial arts is inherently an endeavor in social activism.
The Hung Gar style originated in the Southern Shaolin Temple in southern China over 300 years ago. The name means “Hung Family Fist.” The most famous practice set in this style of Kung Fu is called “Tiger and Crane.” There are five animal styles within Hung Gar Kung Fu: tiger, leopard, crane, snake, and dragon. Southern-style Hung Gar Kung Fu works with all body types – big or small, tall or short, male or female.
